In four 30-minute episodes, we set out in the footsteps of biblical Abraham as he journeys from his birthplace in ancient Mesopotamia, through Syria, Lebanon, and Israel and eventually to his final resting place in the West Bank city of Hebron. Along this trail we meet Muslims, Christians and Jews, all united in the belief that they are descended from him. We meet with a Syrian philosopher in Damascus, a gay rights activist in Beirut and a Palestinian feminist in Hebron. But this is also an amusing and entertaining road movie introducing us to rock'n roll bands in the desert, skateboarders on the beach and assassins high on weed. Through the intimate relationships created by the director we break down barriers, traverse frontiers and eliminate the stereotypes.
